Livewire doesn't do easy questions. Ask about a wallbang and the follow-up is what you believed about the universe in the half-second before the kill cam loaded. It is a real interviewing style, and apparently the only thing capable of getting five people who disagree about everything to sit in the same room at the same time.
Livewire: Let's start simple. In the exact moment your reload sound gives you away, what do you feel?
Dusty: Betrayed. By a magazine. That I loaded into my own gun.
The Ledger: I feel nothing, because I already calculated the odds of that reload mattering before I pulled the trigger.
Sunshine: I feel like it's building character.
The Prosecutor: I feel like whoever heard it is now going to lie about hearing it, and I intend to prove that.
Weekend Warrior: I feel like I should've just held W.
Livewire illustrates the point
Livewire: Nobody answered the actual question, which is somehow the most honest thing that has happened in this room all year. Harder one. If the entire competitive scene disappeared tomorrow and only Rush mode remained, what does Counter-Strike become?
Dusty: A funeral I still have to attend. In a clown car.
The Ledger: Statistically less interesting. I would adapt the spreadsheet.
Sunshine: Honestly? Kind of fun. I said what I said.
The Prosecutor: I would immediately assume foul play.
Weekend Warrior: Wait, would the chickens still be there.
Livewire: They would. Follow-up, and I want a real answer this time: does anyone in this room actually like each other?
(A long pause.)
The Ledger: Define "like" with enough precision and I will answer honestly.
Dusty: We show up. That is more than I can say for half the rosters we cover.
Sunshine: I like all of them. I like everyone. That is kind of my whole thing.
The Prosecutor: I trust exactly none of them, and that is what makes it work.
Weekend Warrior: I genuinely do not know what any of you are talking about most of the time, but I keep coming back, so. Yeah. Sure.
Livewire: That is the most functional relationship I have ever covered. This has been the panel. Try not to hold a grudge before the next article.
Argue it out in the discussion thread — that is where this actually gets resolved.
